Rain Choir Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026 · Applies to Rain Choir for Android

Who we are

Rain Choir is a puzzle game made by LogicIgniter. This policy explains what information the Rain Choir app for Android handles, why, and the choices you have. For any question about it, email [email protected].

Versions covered

This policy covers the Rain Choir for Android 0.1.4 candidate and the changes prepared for version 0.2. Version 0.2 introduces daily gardens, optional garden sharing and an Android TV presentation. Features described for 0.2 apply when you install a version that includes them.

Who the game is for

Rain Choir is intended for people aged 13 and older. The full game is playable by everyone. Advertising is shown only to players who confirm they are adults (18 or older). Players under 18, and players who skip the age question or whose age cannot be determined, play without the app starting its Google consent or advertising flow. Rain Choir is not directed at children under 13. In the 0.2 Android TV presentation, the game asks no age question and shows no ads; the app never starts Google’s consent or advertising tools on a TV.

Information saved on your device

Your gardens, placed leaves, completed gardens, used hints, sound setting and language choice are saved in private app storage on your device. So are records the app uses to limit how often ads can appear, and the privacy choices Google’s consent tools store on the device. In 0.2, quiet-motion and haptics preferences are also saved locally (TV has no haptics control). Your daily streak and history are calculated from your completed daily gardens; no separate streak or history record is saved. The game follows your device’s animation setting. This information is not sent to LogicIgniter. We do not operate servers that receive your gameplay, and Rain Choir has no accounts, sign-in, cloud saves or analytics of its own.

The age question

On Android phones and tablets, when you open the game, a neutral screen asks for your date of birth or lets you skip. Your date of birth is checked on your device and then discarded: it is never saved or sent anywhere. Only the resulting group (adult, under 18 or unknown) is kept in memory until the app’s process ends; when the app starts again, it asks again. For adults, the app tells Google’s consent service that the player is not under the age of consent. This flag does not include your date of birth, and it is the only information Rain Choir itself sends to Google: it is shared so Google’s consent and advertising services can apply the right treatment, and for compliance. Choosing Skip avoids it entirely. Confirming your age is not consent to personalized advertising.

Advertising

For adult players on Android phones and tablets, Rain Choir uses Google AdMob to show a full-screen ad at a natural break. Version 0.1.4 offers an ad after a completed pack, at most once every ten minutes. In the next 0.2 version, an ad may appear when you continue after completing a new garden, including a daily garden. An ad requires at least three new garden completions and three minutes of active gameplay before the first ad and between ads. Time in menus, during interruptions or in the background does not count. There is at most one ad opportunity per newly completed garden, and none on replay. Ads use Google’s G (general audience) content rating. Ads are never shown at launch or while you are arranging leaves. For adult players, Google’s software starts once the privacy check finishes and may load an ad in advance; the ad is only shown at one of these breaks. If an ad is unavailable, the game simply continues; ads are never required to play.

Your advertising privacy choices

Before any ad is requested for an adult player, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to check your privacy choices and, where the law where you live requires it, shows Google’s consent form. Ads are requested only when your choices allow it. Where Google requires it, you can change your choices at any time from “Advertising privacy options” in the game’s privacy panel. Changing a choice affects future requests; it does not delete information Google has already received.

Information Google collects through the app

Google’s advertising and consent software is part of the app. When it runs, Google can collect and process: approximate location derived from your IP address; app interactions such as app launches and ad views and taps; diagnostics and crash information about the advertising software; and identifiers associated with your device or with Google accounts signed in on it, such as the app set ID, the advertising ID where available and, if applicable, other identifiers related to signed-in accounts. Rain Choir itself has no accounts and creates no user IDs. Google uses this information for app functionality (delivering ads and consent messages), analytics, advertising and marketing, and fraud prevention, security and compliance, under Google’s own privacy policy. It is sent encrypted (TLS). The app removes the Android advertising ID permission, but on some older Android versions Google’s software may still read the advertising ID. Google’s software can also make limited startup connections when the app opens, regardless of your age answer, although the app does not request ads for players under 18 or of unknown age, or on Android TV.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location, and the app does not request microphone, camera, contacts or location permissions. Sound is generated on your device. Rain Choir uses internet access only for Google’s advertising and consent services; the puzzles work offline.

Optional sharing in 0.2

Sharing happens only when you choose Share. On Android phones and tablets, Rain Choir creates a garden postcard on your device and offers it, with a short message and a link, to the app you choose through Android’s share sheet. The picture and link contain no personal information; a daily garden link identifies only the garden’s number. A successful picture save leaves one postcard in the app’s private cache, replacing older postcards at the next successful save. It is offered to your chosen app through a temporary read permission; it is not deleted immediately after sharing. Android may clear cached files, and clearing app storage or uninstalling removes them. If sharing is unavailable or fails, the message and link are copied to your device’s clipboard instead. On Android TV, Share copies only the message and link to the clipboard and writes no postcard file. Rain Choir does not upload the share or keep a record of what you share; your chosen app handles it under its own terms. Opening a garden link starts that garden on your device; Rain Choir does not transmit or save the incoming link.

Keeping and deleting information

Information saved on your device stays there until you clear Rain Choir’s storage in Android Settings or uninstall the game. Reset clears only the current garden’s arrangement; it does not erase completed gardens, used hints or settings. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are turned off for Rain Choir. Because LogicIgniter does not receive or store your gameplay or advertising data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. Google keeps and deletes information it receives under its own policies; you can manage it through your Google settings and the links below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information, or to opt out of targeted advertising. For information held by Google, use Google’s privacy tools. For any request or question about Rain Choir, email [email protected] and we will help. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app’s advertising flow, contact us.

Google’s policies

Read Google’s privacy policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s advertising data disclosure. Google Play and your device’s operating system also process information under their own policies when you download and use apps.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy, and the date above, before Rain Choir changes how it handles information. For questions, contact [email protected]. Information you choose to email is used only to respond to you; please do not send passwords or sensitive personal information. LogicIgniter’s website and business services have a separate privacy overview.
